Pedestrian fatally struck
FORT WORTH - A woman was killed after she was struck by a car while attempting to cross the service road off the westbound Spur 341/Lockheed Boulevard in Fort Worth.
Authorities said one driver spotted the woman crossing and was able to swerve and miss the woman. However, a second driver who also attempted to swerve clearly of the woman was unable to do so and the vehicle struck her.
The woman was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
There has been no word on the identity of the woman or why she was attempting to cross at that location on foot.
