UPDATE 7/25: Anthony Raymont Ford was arrested Thursday in Wichita, Kansas after allegedly fleeing police and flipping his car in a fiery wreck, according to Wichita station KAKE-TV.
KAKE reports troopers with the Kansas Turnpike Authority spotted a black Pontiac Trans Am at 2 p.m. Thursday and tried to stop the vehicle, but Ford fled, at times reaching speeds of 110-to-120 miles per hour.
Near the Oklahoma/Kansas border, Ford's vehicle left the roadway, flipped onto its roof, and caught fire. Ford was pinned briefly, then freed.
He was flown to a Wichita hospital with critical injuries and burns.
Arrangements are in the works to get Ford extradited to Texas.
EARLIER: MANSFIELD -- Police in Mansfield are searching for a person of interest after a woman was found dead Sunday night inside her apartment.
Investigators said a relative called 911 Sunday evening after growing concerned. Upon arriving to the apartment in the 600 block of King Way Dr., officers found the woman stabbed to death.
Investigators said they are searching for Anthony Raymont Ford, 27, as a person of interest in the case. He was last seen driving a black 2004 two-door Pontiac Grand Am GT with license plate number CZ8W738. The vehicle is missing its right front hub cap.
Police ask you call if you've seen the vehicle or have any information on Ford's whereabouts.
