D/FW AIRPORT — Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport was operating under a weather warning Tuesday evening as conditions deteriorated.
Airport workers have been de-icing planes since 7 a.m., and that process is creating delays and cancellations.
As of 5 p.m., 125 flights had been canceled, or about 15 percent of all regular departures.
What started as rain Tuesday morning switched over to snow about 3:30 p.m.
Inbound flights were averaging 75-minute delays.
"If it were up to me, I'd wait until tomorrow when I knew it would be safer to fly," said passenger Jeff Fernandez.
The schedule upheaval is likely to have a domino effect at D/FW, a major hub for connecting flights.
