VAN ZANDT COUNTY — A double homicide in Van Zandt County is now officially a murder investigation, and sheriff's deputies are searching for a suspect.
Donny Lee Greenhow, 31, is considered armed and dangerous. He faces capital murder charges in the deaths of a couple in their 60s in their rural mobile home near Ben Wheeler. Sources said the victims had been dead more than a week when their stepson found them on Friday.
Investigators found a car that had been stolen in Kaufman county in front of the victims' residence. They think the killer drove it there and then stole the victims' car after they were slain.
The homicide victims have been identified as Peter and Latricia Shick.
