ARLINGTON - Two people were killed in a wreck that closed part of Interstate 20 just before 4 p.m. Monday near New York Avenue.

The accident happened when a Toyota struck another. The Toyota then went into a spin, veering into a lane where an oncoming 18-wheeler struck the vehicle. Both the driver and the passenger of the Toyota were killed in the crash.

Eastbound 20 was shut down as police investigated. Drivers were forced to exit at Cooper and Collins streets.
