GRAND PRAIRIE –– A man and a woman in their 60s were found shot dead Monday night at a home in Grand Prairie.

Grand Prairie Police say they received a call from a woman around 6:40 p.m. Monday night. The woman gave the call taker her location, but the line disconnected soon after.

When authorities arrived on the scene, there was no answer at the front door. They then entered the home through the partially open garage and found Donna Sanford, 61, and Tommy Esquibel, 62, dead from gunshot wounds.

Detectives learned Sanford and Esquibel were in a dating relationship.

Police say evidence gathered suggests some sort of disturbance prior to the shooting, and that preliminary findings indicate a possible murder-suicide. At this time, GPPD consider Esquibel as the suspect, and are not seeking any other suspects in the case.

The medical examiner's office has not released a cause of death.
