FORT WORTH — At least eight units were damaged after fire broke out in a Fort Worth apartment building next to Woodhaven Country Club on Wednesday evening.

The first units reported heavy flames at the Hidden Valley Estates complex in the 800 block of Heights Drive at six o'clock.

Firefighters were withdrawn from the 33-year-old building after about 15 minutes because of the deteriorating conditions.

There were no reports of injuries in the two-alarm blaze, which displaced a total of 14 tenants. The affected renters will be moved to vacant apartments in other parts of the complex, managers said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
