Two-alarm fire damages Coppell residence

COPPELL — Fire damaged a Coppell home early Saturday morning.

According to initial reports, a passerby observed smoke coming from the residence in the 300 block of Harwell Street at around 6 a.m. and called 911.

The first fire units to arrive said flames were shooting from the attic of the 29-year-old structure, and a second alarm was sounded.

Everybody in the home escaped without injury. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
