HALTOM CITY -- A major accident in Haltom City shut down traffic along the 5600 block of Loop 820 and Denton Highway.
The crash happened just before noon in a construction area.
From HD Chopper 8, it appeared a box truck went through a guard rail and landed near a construction site below an overpass.
Fire crews removed the driver and rushed her to the hospital. She was conscious and suffered a non life threatening injury to her neck.
Officials have not determined what was inside the truck’s trailer.
No word on when the highway will reopen.
