LEWISVILLE — Some families were left homeless Saturday night after a three-alarm fire at a Lewisville apartment complex.
Smoke was pouring from a building at the Hampton Bay Apartments at 248 East Southwest Parkway when the first firefighters arrived around 6:40 p.m.
The fire damaged 24 units and displaced 18 tenants. The American Red Cross was providing them with assistance.
Units from Carrollton and Farmers branch assisted their Carrollton counterparts.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
