DALLAS - A teenager was killed Monday night trying to cross South Central Expressway in Dallas.
Frank Miner, 16, was struck by a car on the freeway near Metropolitan Avenue. He was rushed to the Baylor Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Miner was crossing the highway near the crest of a hill and the driver did not see him in time. The driver of the car stopped to render aid and did not appear to be impaired, according to police.
The highway was reopened shortly after midnight.
Miner was a student at Lincoln High School.
