Deputy injured
FORT WORTH — An off-duty Tarrant County Sheriff's Department deputy is expected to okay after a suspect allegedly tried to run him over Saturday evening.
The incident happened shortly after 6 o'clock at the Walmart in the 7400 block of McCart Avenue in far southwest Fort Worth.
MedStar said the deputy was in the process of arresting a man in a car when the suspect tried to flee. His vehicle ran over the officer's foot.
The deputy fired three shots at the car, but no one was hurt by the flying bullets.
