RICHLAND HILLS -- Trinity Railway Express commuter service was disrupted during the Monday evening rush hour after a suspicious suitcase was discovered on the platform at the Richland Hills Station.
A bomb squad was called to examine the unattended bag.
A technician wearing a blast-resistant suit used a portable X-ray device to examine the contents of the suitcase.
The Richland Hills Station opened about an hour after the incident was reported when the situation was cleared.
TRE operates between Fort Worth and Dallas. The transit agency dispatched buses to shuttle passengers between the Fort Worth Intermodal Transit Center downtown and the Hurst/Bell Station during the disruption.
