MCKINNEY - North Texans looking for a free family event are in luck the next two weekends. Plus, you may even bring a new furry friend home.
"Summertime at the SPCA of Texas" kicks off this Saturday at the Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney.
The adoption event will feature the SPCA's VIP dogs and cats who have been waiting for a forever home for at least one month.
Those animals will be only $50 to adopt.
There will also be snow cones, arts and crafts, and games for the kids.
Summertime at the SPCA of Texas takes place this Saturday, July 21 from noon to 2:30 p.m. at the Perry Animal Care Center in McKinney and on Saturday, July 28 from noon to 2:30 p.m. at the Jan Rees-Jones Animal Care Center in Dallas.
