This is such a bizarre forecast coming up for mid-July.
After typical summertime highs hovering around 100 degrees in most of North Texas on Saturday, we'll be basking in temperatures in the low-to-mid 80s on Sunday.
The mercury may even dip into the 70s during the afternoon in some spots.
Why? A storm system moved due south from Oklahoma on Sunday morning. Showers and thunderstorms will continue into the evening hours and the raindrops will keep falling through Monday's morning rush hour.
The rainfall is forecast to be especially heavy in the parched western zones of the WFAA viewing area.
Rain could be locally heavy at times, especially west of Interstate 35W. Flash flooding will be a concern through Monday morning.
