FORT WORTH — One runway was shut down at Alliance Airport in Fort Worth Tuesday night after a twin-engine plane made a belly-landing.
The pilot said the landing gear failed to deploy. The two people aboard the 1973 vintage Piper PA-34-200 were able to walk away uninjured, the Fort Worth Fire Department said.
Both propellers were dented when they hit the tarmac, but the extent of damage to the aircraft was not known.
The cause of the incident was under investigation, and Alliance Runway 34R was being examined for damage before being returned to service.
The plane is registered to US Aviation Group of Denton, according to online records.
