DALLAS - News 8 confirmed Friday that a Secret Service agent fired in the middle of a recent prostitution scandal is from Dallas.

David Chaney's name surfaced overnight, as well as some of his Facebook comments. He attended W.T. White High School in Dallas.

Chaney was fired by the Secret Service in the midst of the scandal, but the attention now is squarely focused on him.

News 8 found one picture of Chaney when he attended W.T. White. He graduated in 1982.

But it's another picture that is capturing headlines.

It's one from his Facebook page, of him during his time protecting Sarah Palin during the 2008 campaign. He is looking at Palin with her back turned to him.

The caption says, "I was really checking her out if you know what I mean."

His father was a long-time secret service agent who served under several presidents, including Lyndon Johnson.

A former FBI agent that News 8 spoke to for another story, Farris Rookstool, who knew Chaney's father. Rookstool said Chaney's father would have a hard time with this week's revelations.
