FORT WORTH — A second victim of last month's Fort Worth convenience store robbery has died.
Jerry Burnett, a bread delivery driver, was shot in the head March 23 by an assailant as he was stocking the Valero convenience store on Mansfield Highway.
Relatives took the 70-year-old off life support on Friday, and he died on Saturday.
Burnett drove a Mrs. Baird's delivery truck for nearly 50 years. He continued working to make extra money to raise his grandson.
The clerk at the Valero station was also killed in the robbery. Four suspects are in custody.
