The City of Dallas said 30 sanding trucks would begin operations at noon Sunday based on updated weather conditions.

The Texas Department of Transportation says crews pre-treated roads in Jack and Wise counties Saturday ahead of the expected snow and freezing rain. In Fort Worth, TxDOT has crews on standby and sand trucks prepared in case they are needed. A spokesman said the agency will decide whether to pre-treat highways based on the weather forecast, but as of Saturday evening, they were holding off.

The North Texas Tollway Authority brought in crews at midnight Saturday to be in position, if needed.
