DALLAS — A rally Saturday expressed support for embattled Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price.
The event, at a bookstore across from Fair Park, was sponsored by National Black United Front, which feels the FBI is unfairly targeting Price.
"John is innocent," said Thomas Muhammad, president of the NBUF Dallas chapter. "We are not waffling or anything like that. There is a wise prophet who once said, 'You don't know a person until you have worked with him.' Well, we've worked with John. We know him. This brother ain't going to take a penny."
Last month, the FBI raided John Wiley Price's home and office. The commissioner has denied any wrongdoing, and no charges have been filed.
