The University of Texas at Arlington ROTC cadets have a long road ahead of them -- literally.

They left early Saturday, on foot, for Fort Hood. More than 40 cadets are making the 126-mile march.

The trek commemorates the 50th anniversary of a similar journey in 1960.

The cadets will march 25 miles a day, arriving at Fort Hood on Wednesday.
