DALLAS - Dallas police have identified the victim of a fatal drive-by shooting Monday afternoon in Oak Cliff.

Antonio Phifer, 28, of Dallas was shot repeatedly about noon when two people in a silver Buick opened fire as he exited his vehicle in the 1400 block of South Ewing Avenue, police Sgt. Warren Mitchell said.

Phifer was taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center, where he died.

Police said several witnesses were in the car with Phifer, but no one else was injured.

Mitchell said homicide detectives are interviewing witnesses. The motive for the killing is unknown, and no arrests have been made.

The attack was the second fatal drive-by shooting in three days in Oak Cliff.

On Saturday, a girl was shot and killed in the 2800 block of O'Bannon Drive when someone fired an assault-type rifle into a crowd of teens. No arrests have been made in that shooting.
