DALLAS — Police are looking for a person who may have "pointed a gun" at a Dallas firefighter on Sunday morning.

Investigators said the firefighter reported that he saw someone in a tan Chevrolet pickup truck drive around Fire Station No. 33 at 2540 South Vernon Avenue in North Oak Cliff several times... and then saw him point a gun.

A Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesman said the gun was pointed at someone else in the neighborhood, who reported it to the fire station.

No shots were taken at the fire station, and no one had been arrested as of Sunday night.

News 8 has reported on other threats against Dallas firefighters in recent weeks.

In late April, a fire truck was driving an engine down R.L. Thornton Freeway when — police sources told us — the window next to him was shot out.

Two weeks before that, personnel at a different Dallas fire station said they received several threatening phone calls.
