PLANO — The Plano Police Department and the Collin County Medical Examiner are seeking help from the public to identify a man who was found dead earlier this week.

On March 4, Plano police responded to a call about a campsite that had been set up in the wooded area behind Christie Elementary School.

While they were looking around, the man was found in the nearby creek not in view of the school, according to a spokeswoman with Plano police.

The deceased man is described in a press release as about 5’ 8” tall and 195 pounds, with blue eyes and short brown curly hair with some gray coloring. He's somewhere between 35 to 55 years old.

He was found wearing a turquoise Swatch brand wristwatch along with a long-sleeved red, white and blue flannel shirt, long black pants with a black belt and gray and white socks.

Anyone with information regarding the man’s identity should contact the Plano Police Department tip line at 972-941-2148 or the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office at 972-548-3775.
