Police: Man injured in 635 accident jumped from bridge

DALLAS - Three lanes of westbound Interstate 635 were shut down east of the Dallas North Tollway after a pedestrian incident was reported Monday afternoon.

A man was transported from the scene to Parkland Hospital in unknown condition. Senior Cpl. Sherri Jeffrey, Dallas Police Department, said the man jumped from a bridge above and was not hit by a vehicle.

Traffic was backed up for miles as police investigated and crews worked to clear the area.

An abandoned white Chevy Blazer parked on the bridge was towed from the scene by authorities,
