It has been nearly a month since 10-year-old Arnav Dhawan was found dead in a bathtub at his family's Frisco home on January 29.

For Sumeet Dhawan, it has been a very long and difficult month as he and wife Pallavi mourn the loss of their son.

Pallavi Dhawan stands accused of capital murder.

Sumeet said he is still waiting for his impounded car to be released by investigators. It's the only family vehicle.

"The Dhawan case is an ongoing investigation, with the vehicle being a part of the overall investigation," police explained in a statement.

But most importantly, the Dhawans had been waiting for Pallavi's identification card to be returned; that just happened late last week. Police also returned Arnav's scooter.

Sumeet told News 8 that without the ID, his wife did not have access to the medication she needed.

"She wasn't too well the last couple of days, but I think she will try and get her medication filled," Sumeet Dhawan said.

Dhawan’s attorney David Finn told News 8 that the results of Arnav's autopsy may be released as early as next week.
