ARLINGTON — The Dallas Opera's performance of Mozart's "The Magic Flute" will be featured on the giant screens at Cowboys Stadium this spring.
The opera announced Thursday that the performance will be simulcast on April 28 to the home of the Dallas Cowboys.
Tickets to the performance will be free. Seating will be reserved.
Dallas Opera General Director and CEO Keith Cerny says he hopes the performance will "draw music and theater lovers from all across North Texas."
Gene Jones, wife of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, says "sporting events and great art do something similar — they get people talking."
Cowboys Stadium, which opened in 2009, features a museum quality collection of contemporary art.
