ARLINGTON — Open Carry Tarrant County brought out the guns again on Saturday, two days after a letter went out to "open carry" groups statewide asking members to keep the rifles at home.

The local group proudly displayed rifles and handguns at a demonstration in Arlington at a peaceful rally. They carried signs and offering copies of the Constitution to anyone who asked, in violation of a new city ordinance banning pedestrians from handing out literature to motorists on busy streets.

On Tuesday, the gun rights group plans to file for an injunction in federal court to block the rule from taking effect.
