Drunk driving suspected in fatal Euless wreck

EULESS — Police arrested the driver of a car involved in a fatal accident in Euless early Saturday morning.

Police said the sedan,  a 2007 BMW driven by 32-year-old Cody Worrell of Euless, hit a tree at a high rate of speed and crashed into a concrete wall in the 1200 block of Bear Creek Parkway around 2:15 a.m.

Worrell's passenger, a 32-year-old Hurst resident, was trapped and pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not released pending notification of relatives.

Police arrested Worrell on a charge of intoxication manslaughter. He was being held in the Euless jail.
