DALLAS -- One of the most dangerous intersections in North Texas Friday morning was the High Five at North Central Expressway and LBJ Freeway in North Dallas.

Our live van slipped and went over the curb as we were setting up to broadcast from an overpass at Churchill Way, just south of the High Five.

We estimate the snow at this location to be about 5 inches deep. Cars have been observed sliding backward while trying to go up the ramps. Four Texas Department of Transportation sand trucks have been at work trying to provide enough grit for traction.

The ramps and the road surfaces in general are extremely treacherous because of the existing ice underneath the snow.
