IRVING -- Irving police have determined that speed and possibly alcohol may have played a role in the death of three people who were found in an Irving canal earlier this month.
The driver of a Porche Panamera identified as Ronald Eddins, 41, was speeding or going faster than 55 mile per hour. Eddins, along with his passengers Kenneth Lark, 23 and Kaat Debeuckelaer, 21, were all found in a canal. The crash happened January 5 in the 5600 block of Riverside Drive.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner determined that Eddins and Debeuckelaer both died of blunt force injuries. Lark’s cause of death has not been determined.
