DALLAS — Workers "topped off" the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge on Saturday morning, placing the final section of steel for the 400-foot arch.

The bridge is part of the Trinity River Corridor project.

Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert and Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison were among the dignitaries on hand for the milestone.

The span, designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, is scheduled to open next year.
