Motorist killed
DALLAS — Witnesses said a man who was pushing a disabled vehicle on LBJ Freeway late Friday night was killed when he was struck by another car just east of Midway Road.
Dallas police said the impact severed one leg of the 39-year-old victim and partially severed the other leg. He was pronounced dead a short time later at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the Jeep Cherokee that hit the victim told police he was traveling westbound on the freeway when the car in front of him changed lanes. Only then did he see the disabled vehicle, but it was too late to avoid impact.
The deceased motorist was identified as 39-year-old Oscar Mancilla Cisneros of Plano.
Police said no charges have been filed.
