DALLAS -- At one point Monday, more than 16,000 North Texans were without power and more than 500 outages were reported by Oncor Energy as a Thunderstorm Warning fell over the area.
By 8:20 a.m. the heaviest rain was south and east of Dallas-Fort Worth. Light showers were expected for the rest of the morning.
Southwest Airlines reported some delays Monday morning. The airline said it expected flights to be back on track by mid-morning. Flights in and out of DFW International Airport were also affected. There were 26 cancellations and flights were stopped from 6:45 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
On Sunday, Granbury received about seven inches of rain, according to the Associated Press. Wichita Falls also had brief storms. Fort Worth received just over an inch of rain.
