Based on a tip from a viewer, a Crowley mother is charged with theft.
Police said Belkis Peters, 36, was allegedly shoplifting right in front of her own children. She was arrested Monday evening in Euless, where the suspect was visiting relatives.
Peters is accused of taking hundreds of dollars in clothing and jewelry from the Ella Bella Children's Boutique in Southlake on April 24.
A tipster spotted her image on surveillance footage of the theft that was broadcast locally and reported her to police.
Police said Peters has at least two prior convictions. She was being held on $5,000 bond.
