DALLAS -- A memorial service was held Thursday morning for Dallas Civil Rights Leader Kathlyn Gilliam.
Gilliam died earlier this week.
Her body will lie in state from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Hall of State in Fair Park.
Gilliam's funeral is set for Friday at Christian Chapel Temple of Faith in Dallas.
The service is open to the public.
