MCKINNEY -- Police have arrested a 23-year-old daycare worker on a felony charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Jordan Ronald Smith, 23, was taken into custody Tuesday. He is being held on a $100,000 bond at the Collin County Justice Center.
Police said in a news release that Smith is an employee of the Little Professor's Montessori Learning Academy on North McDonald Street. The business opened in 2009.
State inspection records showed two violations reported earlier this year, but both were considered minor.
Investigators are not saying if they believe more than one child is involved, however they are urging anyone who came in contact with Smith or the day care to reach out to McKinney Police. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Natalie Irwin at 972.547.2726.
