DALLAS - Mavericks’ fans cannot get enough gear touting the Mavs new title, NBA Champs.
At Academy Sports and Outdoors, fans bought up the hottest commodity of the day, t-shirts.
The first shipment arrived at the Forest Avenue store in Dallas at 8 a.m. Monday.
T’s for men, women and children sold for $18 to $20 each. By 12:30 p.m. only a handful of t-shirts in children's sizes remained with the next shipment expected in at 2 p.m.
Fans also bought their favorite player’s t-shirts and memorabilia for their cars. Decals, pennants and car flags sold for $2-$12.
Fans who wanted to buy a Mavs NBA Champs hat have to wait another day. Academy Sports and Outdoors stores won’t get new ones until Tuesday.
Most shoppers told News 8 they loaded up for the whole family.
