LEWISVILLE — Lewisville police are investigating two armed robberies early Monday morning that appear to be related.

In the first case, a woman who was jogging in the 2000 block of South Old Orchard Lane was assaulted by a man with a knife at around 6 a.m. He dragged her to a ditch and stole her cell phone, but the woman's screams for help sent him fleeing, police said.

About an hour later, another woman was cronfronted by a man with a knife in a parking lot in the 200 block of East Oak Knoll Circle. The man fled with the woman's wallet — but not before she was able to take the suspect's knife during the struggle.

Both victims described the suspect as a Hispanic man in his late teens who was driving a dark — possibly gray — vehicle.

Call Lewisville Police at 972-219-3624 if you have information about these assaults.
