DALLAS - An 18-year-old man is dead after a triple shooting that police say may have been the result of a drive-by shooting overnight.
The shootings happened at an apartment complex in southeast Dallas just before 1 a.m.
Police said they arrived to find 18-year-old LaDarius Williams shot to death on the sidewalk on the backside of the Creekside Villas Apartments. Two women had also been shot and were rushed to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to witnesses, an SUV drove by earlier and someone from within fired multiple shots into the crowd, hitting three people.
Police used what appeared to to be pepper spray to disperse what had become a very large and emotionally-charged group of people. News 8 witnessed one woman who was so distraught, she had to be carried from the scene.
Police are still talking to witnesses as they try to sort out what triggered the triple shootings. So far, they have not made any arrests or named any suspects.
