ARLINGTON - Police in Arlington are working to determine what led to an altercation that left one dead and two others wounded at an Arlington home.
According to Arlington police, officers were dispatched to the scene at about 11 p.m. Thursday in the 4700 block of Shadyway Drive.
Upon arriving on the scene, officers discovered a man fatally shot inside the home. A vehicle leaving the location was stopped by police near Interstate 20 and Matlock Road. Inside the vehicle was a man with a gunshot wound on his leg and a woman with a cut on her head, read a statement released by Arlington police Friday morning.
Both were transported to a nearby hospital and later taken into police custody on outstanding warrants. Police said the man and woman are believed to be residents of the home where the unidentified victim was found dead. Police are working to identify the deceased male and notify next of kin.
While police said they believe they have identified the shooter, the motive is still under investigation.
