PLANO - Many districts are now up to speed when it comes to technology within the schools, but WFAA found one school that is off the charts.

Walking into a Spanish class at John Paul II High School in Plano is getting a glimpse of the future. Students within the classes have cutting edge technology at their finger tips.

Every student is issued a laptop that doubles as a tablet and a digital notebook.

While the students may be in a large classroom, in theory, they're learning one-on-one. They talk with one another, and their communications are recorded. Their teacher, Teresa Walls, instantly receives the recording and then can access it.

"For most of the students, since they are digital babies, they have grown up with this," Walls said. "They are comfortable with this and it's easier for them to learn with this type of technology."

For those home sick, they can follow along from home with power point.

"You can actually log into a dyno session while the class is starting," said Victoria Barton, a junior.

Thanks to all of the technology at John Paul II High school in Plano, the school is a nearly paperless campus.
