FORT WORTH -- There's new help coming for Tarrant County veterans.  Liberty House is now complete, and it opens in Fort Worth in March.

It is transitional housing for homeless veterans suffering from chemical dependency, post traumatic stress disorder and other mental illnesses.  Liberty House will provide substance abuse and family support services.

There also will be a computer lab and library to help veterans find employment.

MHMR of Tarrant County partnered with the United States Veterans Administration to open Liberty House. It had $300,000 to renovate an existing facility and received a $600,000 federal grant.
