DALLAS -- The border crisis is reaching Dallas County.

Tuesday afternoon Judge Clay Jenkins held a press conference about temporarily housing as many as 2,000 children coming across the border into the U.S. He will meet with county commissioners in the afternoon to further discuss the issue.

Jenkins said on Tuesday that 12 sites are under consideration to house the children. Two sites are outside the city of Dallas.

The first site will be selected as soon as Tuesday or Wednesday.
