The Irving Fire Department responded to a one-alarm house fire early Tuesday morning.

The fire was contained around 4:30 a.m. and no injuries were reported, assistant fire chief Rusty Wilson said. There was no one reported inside. Wilson said the home was "heavily damaged."

Irving police officers in the area called in the fire and helped evacuate surrounding homes, Irving spokesperson John Argumaniz.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Wilson said.
