DALLAS - From flying acrobats to dancing elephants and hilarious clowns, Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus has taken over the American Airlines Center.
Wednesday night, a crowd of thousands caught the first performance. On Thursday morning, News 8 spent some time with the clowns.
They said it’s fun to travel around the country with the new show “Fully Charged," and said they always get good crowds in North Texas.
"The main consistent thing we hear at the greatest show on earth is the magic of the circus," said Chris Sullivan, on of the clowns from "Clown Alley. "No matter who you are, where you are, where you're from, you can come, you get to experience the show, not just see the show but be a part of the show."
The circus will be in Dallas from August 1 through August 12. Then it heads over to the Fort Worth Convention Center from August 15 until August 19.
