DALLAS — A man was injured early Monday morning after confronting several armed suspects who had broken into his home.

The suspects took several items from the residence in the 6900 block of Maple Creek Lane before fleeing, including a Toyota Sequoia sport utility vehicle, according to Dallas police spokesman Warren Mitchell.

The homeowner's head was bandaged and he was taken to a hospital for treatment. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. His name was not released.

The victim's wife and small child were asleep at the time of the home invasion; they were not injured.
