Three North Texas counties are working to get the swine flu vaccine to residents who meet the qualifications.

DENTON COUNTY

The Denton County Health department announced Monday they now have 11,000 doses of H1N1 swine flu vaccine -- an adequate inventory to begin dispensing it to the public.

The county has set a clinic for 11 a.m to 4 p.m. Tuesday at the C.H. Collins Athletic Complex at 1500 Long Road in Denton.

The vaccine will be free of charge, but will be made available only to those who are at high risk.

TARRANT COUNTY

Tarrant County has received more than 19,000 doses of the serum. Qualified residents can be inoculated at a free clinic Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Arlington Convention Center.

DALLAS COUNTY

Dallas County residents seeking the swine flu vaccine also have options.

The county is holding clinics at three locations today and Tuesday, including the Health and Human Services officer at 2377 North Stemmons Freeway in Dallas, where there was a very short wait time Monday morning.

There also are clinics in Irving at 440 South Nursery and in Farmers Branch at 2774 Valwood. Be aware that all the Dallas County public clinics require an appointment; no walk-ins are admitted.

Call (214) 819-6001 for an appointment or for more information.
