GRAPEVINE — Some guests at Great Wolf Lodge were evacuated early Thursday morning after a dryer caught fire in the laundry room.

There are about 2,000 guests at the hotel on Highway 26, and about half of them were out of their rooms due to heavy smoke. They were made comfortable in the facility's restaurant and conference center until the all-clear was given.

Firefighters went door-to-door at the hotel to ensure that there were no problems.
