The Granny Globetrotters are a team of women 65-years-old and older. News 8 first introduced you to these active ladies back in November.

In a North Texas gym Tuesday, they came to meet their toughest challenge yet.

"Hi I'm Flight Time and I'm Big Easy, and we're the world-famous Globetrotters," the guests said.

Two players from the Harlem Globetrotters are in town to promote their upcoming event in Dallas, and they dropped in on the women's senior team practice.

"You see those outfits? They can definitely come hang with us," Flight Time said.

The ladies may look good in their outfits, but to them it's more than just a game.

The Granny Globetrotters have played in two Senior Olympics in 2007 and 2009.

"I'm seeing athletes play right now,” Flight Time said. “It doesn't matter their age."

"We're pretty serious about it, and I think we showed them today that we're not out here just for fun,” said Granny Globetrotters Team Captain Kay Seamayer. “We're out here to win and play as good as ball as we can."

And they continue to promote their message of good health. They want people of any age to get active.

Flight Time and the Big Easy said they were impressed with the ladies' attitudes, energy and skills.

"I tried to go left, and he wouldn't let me go left,” Seamayer said. “So I came back over here, and he wouldn't let me, and then I faked him out."

And when it comes to exercise and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, everyone's a winner.
